Fishing down here in Matagorda is just top notch right now. Ive have been drifting deep mud and shell in the middle of the bay throwing live shrimp under a coastal cork with a 4-1/2 foot leader. That has whats been working best for me, also when the bait camp hasn't had shrimp ill tie a 1/8 ounce led head on under a cork with a plum and chartreuse down south lure and pop that along the bottom taking good catches as well. Red fish have been plentiful in the diversion channel and cut mullet or live mullet on bottom are the go to baits I've been using for that. I have plenty of dates still available for the 2017 year that are needing to be filled. Give me a call and lets go fishing! The picture below was from a trip I took Thursday it was a great day on the water!! Hope you enjoy !!!
